MARINO CARGNEL - Alternative Progressive Electronic Jazz-Rock
Marino CARGNEL is an Italian artist from Pieve di Cadore who makes an unusual and very interesting music mixed of guitar, bass and electronic that can be defined by alternative and progressive electronic jazz-rock.
5 ALBUMS :
- NIGHT SILVER BEATS (2018)
- BLUE ICE LINE (2018)
- ILLUSIONS SNOISULLI (2017)
- SNAKE AND SOUNDS (2017)
- NO RIGHT TIME (2017)
Marino composes and produces his music from his home in the Dolomites Mountains, directed linked to the deep and wild nature.
Marino's music really deserves to be called "progressive" because of the duration of most tracks that not rarely are less than 6mn, with a special note to "There's no War between Animals", the 7th track of the album illusions snoisulli, having a duration of more than 9mn.
Nevertheless the average long duration of many tracks, don't think it's a boring to listen to them, not at all and on the contrary Marino's work is a real masterpiece of electro acoustic Jazz-Rock.
MUSIC STYLE :
Marino's style is very various because sometimes it's a deconstructed, thumping, psychedelic and depressed jazz metal, while sometimes it's the harmonium sound and a style close to the famous English psychedelic rock band "The Fall" founded in the seventies.
Sometimes also it's more guitar and noizy jazz.
Marino's music could be perfect soundrack for the great Italian horrific thriller or giallo (like those of the great directors Mario Bava, Lamberto Bava, Antonio Margheriti or Riccardo Freda).
